About the challenge

Join EmpowerHer Roseville this summer as we celebrate the many achievements of women in STEM with our first ever hack-a-thon!

EmpowerHer is a multi-national organization committed to empowering future leaders in the fields of AI, medicine, and business. EmpowerHer Roseville serves as the Roseville chapter of this organization, and we welcome you to our innaugural hack-a-thon!

Reflecting our organization's mission, this hack-a-thon will feature our 3 branches in the competition cateogries, with one category for AI, medical, and business, respectively.

For those competing in the AI category, we recommend incorporating open source AI models into the code, particularly Gemini and Meta, especially given that the use of AI is required in project submissions under this category.

  • Functionality and Usability
Project must demonstrate a clear way of remedying the problem using the code.

Project functionality will be assessed by looking at the video submission. Points will be given for clarity and effectiveness in presenting the finished product.

Additional points will be granted to teams that incorporate advanced concepts in code. The awarding of these points is at the judges discretion, as is what will be counted as "advanced code."
